The thing I liked best about this biscotti is that, just like my grandma's mandelbread, it was not too crispy, even with the second bake. I hate that feeling of biting down onto biscotti and feeling like you are going to crack a tooth. These biscotti were perfectly crisp without that hard as a rock feeling. Not to sweet, no frills, this chocolate biscotti is just simple goodness. And the addition of espesso powder really added a delcious flavor to these cookies. Oh, and of course, these taste even better when dunked in a big hot cup of coffee!
Now a quick Bachelorette update!!
Bentley wasn't even in this week's episode, yet he somehow managed to annoy the crap out of me more than ever. What is going on with Ashley?!? Why in the world is she still stuck on him? It's insanity. All I can think about is how she must feel watching these episodes back and seeing how she is acting. Not cool. Not cool at alllllll. Poor Ashley. But lo and behold, Bentley will return in the next episode, so we shall she how it all plays out. Right now I like JP and Ben F a lot, but Ashley has seriously got to stop whining about Bentley and move on. Can't wait for next week!!!! :)

Your biscotti look lovely! I agree that it's not fun to eat hard-as-a-rock biscotti, so this crisp but tender version was delicious (and chocolatey!). I've never had mandelbread, but it sounds great!
ReplyDeletechocolate biscotti and the bachelorette- what could be better?!
ReplyDeleteThese were great biscotti. I really liked that they weren't too crispy or crunchy. That is what made them so yummy form me. I don't watch the batchlorette, but I do read people mag. She was on the cover this week, and I can tell you that I hate that bentley guy, for sure!
